Delicious little spot. Daughter and I decided to stop for lunch after a dentist appt. Really clean and warm inside (it was cold out!), very friendly staff, hot fresh food. We ate inside, they bring the food to the table with a smile. Definitely will go back!
The Food is good and close to home for that late night snack! Love the taco salad and steak quesadilla.
We got our order through a delivery app. I didn't think it took long. Haven't had steak fries in quite some time but enjoyed it so much there was barely any left overs. We have not been to the location in person for this order but we did pass by on our way to a party n just noticed the inside was pretty small with tables out front and drive through. Also they are open 24hours unsure if delivery is possible but I'd say the drive through is open for those late night snacks. We also had a burrito n quesadillas. The kids and my brother enjoyed their selection I would think since as well not much leftovers were left. Would definitely suggest to order here again. I could never say no to Mexican food.
It was late on Saturday night and not too many places were open except this place. The 2-star rating worried me a bit too. I'd been craving San Diego-style Mexican food and had not tried any in the Bay Area yet - was honestly thinking I wouldn't find anything comparable. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the carne asada fries and rolled tacos were actually good here! I only wished the order of fries was larger for the price, and I would prefer if the fries weren't so thick and soft. Their horchata was a little bit watered down tasting and the largest size wasn't very large. But they had a variety of hot sauces they gave us and I loved the bright, creamy green one a lot. Service was good. Will definitely be back again.
I've heard good and bad about California Burrito: I had to see what it was about. I didn't expect authentic Mexican food, but I expected an average experience. I went with the traditional burrito, with asada. It's nice to see they have a plentiful menu, offering from tacos, burritos and aguas frescas, like horchata Service was okay, with the drive thru empty during my visit. Ambiance seems to be non existent inside, so I would recommend this spot for a quick bite. Very delicious indeed, and I hope the posted picture I attached speaks for itself
